This Hyper Engineering Sure Start Soft Starter product has been developed specifically to soft start single phase A/C scroll compressors and motors. It provides a dramatic reduction (up to 60%) in the starting current but still provides full start torque. It will automatically adjust itself to provide the best starting. It is fully self-contained in a conveniently small, double insulated and flame retardant enclosure. Consult your A/C manufacturer to confirm compatibility. Should be installed by a licensed, qualified HVAC technician. May allow customer to consider a smaller Generac Home Standby Backup Generator than otherwise needed.
