Default Installation with exhast directed at the house. Allowed?

I'm sure my inspector would have failed this install. The unit mounted with the exhaust directed towards a building opening (let alone the building itself). I think my inspector would also have a problem with it installed in a driveway, without a physical barrier to prevent vehicles from striking the unit.

Doesn't look like a good advertisement for the company being promoted in the video.

I can't imagine anyone showing an installation this bad on Youtube. I doubt an inspector was involved.

Mine is at the end of my driveway. I park a far more expensive truck there and trust others not to hit it, the generator is a small concern.

I'm not defending that install, but I have seen much worse.

I saw an installation where the generator was installed on the grass beyond the driveway. There was no curb preventing a vehicle from driving past the driveway toward the generator. The homeowner said that the building inspector made him install 2 large steel bollards in front of the generator to prevent a vehicle from striking the generator.

Maybe I shouldn't have commented on the post... they pulled it from youtube. Im a jerk. Just angers me when we have to pull permits, that jumped from 75 dollars to 300 bucks in a year and provide a load calulatiion, when others bid low, cut corners, don't permit the job and walk away with more money and a customer that doesn't know the difference.

Don't feel bad. If it wasn't done correctly, the video should have been pulled. Maybe they learned something from your post.

d11: You just described the way our entire society operates. It starts with D.C. and funnels down thru our entire society. Problem is that no one ever learns from history, the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire, describes our country perfectly. Only question is, how long?
