Default Generator salvage yards?

Anyone know of generator salvage yards or you has disasanles used engine? I am still looking for a govoner gear shaft for my Briggs #455755 and Generac 8kw #04109-0. Ever thing abou this engine is fine so do not want to get a new one. I need that shaft to get going. Is it used on other motors that will broading my search?

Is this motor a Briggs Vanguard? I was just offered one for parts.

The B&S that I have worked on are identified as Vanguard, I don't know the model numbers.

The engines are so close it hurts. Still haven't run across the parts yet. A salvage yard would be a great idea. I have several small engine shops that I frequent. I haul off their junk when they get a notion. They have not had a notion here latey. Try some small engine shops in your area. you might get lucky. Wish I could turn a honda v-twin on my work bench right now into a briggs. I will keep looking.
